Hello all. I cannot believe that it is October already! This year has been flying by and the busyness of the past few month has increased the speed all the more! October if Dyslexia Awareness month so I wanted to share something that I found fascinating. Did you know that there is a symbol and ribbon for dyslexia? A silver ribbon stands for dyslexia, but the symbol is my favorite! It is very creative and easy to remember, it is a combination of these letters: p q b d. This is because often times children with dyslexia struggle to learn and remember which letter is which. To this day I sometimes still write a p when I mean to write b and vice versa, more so when I am tired. The image at the top of this post, is the symbol that has the p, q, b, and d. Finding out about this symbol and ribbon, was a fun and new discovery for me! I found a site that uses this symbol and makes jewelry out of it! It is pretty cool! I will link it here for you. https://www.pqbd.org/jewelry
By the would way, please leave me a comment or send me an email if there is something that relates to dyslexia that you would like me to write about! I am curious as to what people want to hear, and what would be encouraging for you. I have a couple of ideas for future posts, but they are still in the works…
Till my next post,
Johanna
